THE NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, March 19, 2009.

Murl LeVern Halverson, 89, of Nevada, Iowa, passed away March 9, 2009, at Doctor's Hospital in Dallas, Texas of congestive heart failure.

Murl is survived by four children: Steve (Maradith) Halverson of Nevada, Iowa; Barbara (Keith) Westercamp of Cedar Rapids; Craig (Colleen) Halverson of Dallas, Texas; Mary (Steve) Wettach of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister: Irene Alleman of Ankeny, Iowa; a brother-in-law: Howard Buckles of San Diego, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Esther; his parents; three sisters and one brother.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 21st at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

A Memorial Fund has been established at 1st National Bank in Ames

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
