Otis DeWanyne "OD" Corbin, 71, of Nevada, IA., died of cancer Thursday at Israel Hospice House in Ames. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, with burial at Center Grove Cemetery in Cambridge.

Mr. Corbin was born in Nevada and had lived in the area most of his life. He was the retired owner of Corbin Construction Co. and a Marine veteran of the Korean War. He had been active with the Carpenter union, Lincoln Highway Days, Elks Lodge in Ames and American Legion in Nevada. He enjoyed work,fishing and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Sherrill: four sons Dennis , Karl, Kris, all from Nevada and Jeffery of Royersford, PA: a daughter Lynn Petterson of Nevada: two brothers, Harold "Gene" of Nevada and Virgil of Winterset; two sisters Joan Jelden of Ames and Joyce Swanson of Nevada; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorial contributions may be made to the O.D. Corbin Sports Boster Fund.
