RICHARD KIMBERLY OF COLLINS IS DEAD

COLLINS — Richard Francis Kimberley, 11, popular Collins schoolboy, died at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines late Saturday night following a two-year affliction with mastoid trouble. The young boy had undergone several operations in the two years, the most serious of which was performed in Des Moines two weeks ago. Septic meningitis set in following the operation and altho two blood transfusions were made and drains were placed in the brain, the boy died on Saturday.

Richard moved to the Collins vicinity from Mingo with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kimberley, three years ago. His parents reside on a farm near here and Richard had lived with his grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Kimberley, while attending school in town during that time.

Besides his parents and grandmother, he is survived by a sister, Jean, 15, and a brother, George, 13. First and second cousins will serve as pallbearers at the funeral services to be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 from the farm home. The Rev. H. LeRoy Kinser of the Newton Christian church will be in charge. Burial will be in the Peoria cemetery.
