Frank Weston Peikert, 72, 204 Woodland Drive, State College, Pa., died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1983, at Centre Communtiy Hospital. In 1975 he retired as professor emeritus of agricultural engineering from Penn State. He had served as head of that department from 1954 until his retirement.
Mr. Peikert was born Aug. 22, 1910, in Stockton, Calif., a son of Paul R. and Anna Newmann Peikert. On Dec. 25, 1935, he married Jeanette Sowers, daughter of the late George and Martha Sowers, former Story City residents.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Frank W., Costa Mesa Calif.; a daughter, Alice P Kuhl, Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Paul F., Modesto, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Sowrs) Bielefeldt, Story City; and four grandchildren.
