Frances M. Kaldenberg, 93, of Ames, died Sunday, May 25, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, with Father Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Friday, May 30, in Corydon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with a prayer service to follow.
Frances M. Kaldenberg was born April 16, 1915, in Burlington, to Michael and Katherine (Smith) Welch. She was a high school graduate and homemaker.
She married Clarence Kaldenberg Dec. 29, 1956, in Burlington. She was a member of St. Francis Parish in Corydon, and also a member of St. Mary's in Centerville until she moved to Ames.
She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Bridges, of Ames; one sister, Veronica Loserth, of Burlington; one brother, Raymond Welch, of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Michelle Kelly, of South Bend, Ind., Dan Roberts, of Des Moines, and David Roberts, of Ames; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Helen Hubsch, Marcella Stolze and Mary Frye; five brothers, Richard, Robert, George, John and James Welch; as well as her beloved husband, Clarence, in 1985.
Memorials may be given to St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.
