THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, March 18, 2007.

Amy C. Ritland, 95, of Story City, died March 16 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Garden City. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Amy C. Ritland is survived by three daughters, Helen Tjernagel (Bill), of Story City, Diane Severseike, of Lake Forest, Ill., and Barbara Skartvedt (Ivan), of Conrad; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Thorson, of Story City, Ardyce Bishop (Russell), of Webster City, and Doris Lewis, of Wellman; and one brother, Jordan Knutson, of Tucson, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; one son-in-law, Gary Severseike; and three brothers, Cyrus, Rueben and Virgil.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
