MILLER OBITUARY. – Jacob D., son of David J. and Marie Gingerich Miller, was born in Sharon Township, Johnson County, Iowa, October 8, 1875, and died at his farm home near Maxwell, Iowa January 15, 1955 at the age of 79 years 3 months 7 days. On February 9 1898 he was united in marriat to Florence M. Kempf, who with their three children survive hom. The children are LeRoy F., of Bondurant, Iowa; Lucile, Mrs. Paul Piercy of Athens, Georgia; and Carroll E., of Colo, Iowa … Funeral service were held in the Maxwell Christian Church at 2:00 p.m. January 17. Burial was in the Maxwell cemetery. … Relatives attending the J. D. Miller rites were Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Hershberger, Mrs. Harold Swartendruber, Mrs. Clark Brenneman, Mrs. Ferne Whetstone, Mrs. Lewis O. Gingerich, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Troyer, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Yoder, and Mr. D. G. Yoder, all from Kolona, Iowa. Mr. Artie Yoder, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hershberger from Wellman, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Oren E. Yoder, Parnell, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Yoder, Iowa City, Iowa; Mr. Daniel Miller, Newton, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Simon S. Miller, Des Moines, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Sargent, Cambridge.”
