Carolyn Ringgenberg, died Friday, Aug. 4, at Atrium Hospice in Overland, Kan. Arrangements are pending with the Adams Funeral Home.

Carolyn A. Ringgenberg, 65, of Ames, died Friday, Aug. 4, in Overland Park, Kan. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at First United Methodist Church in Ames with the Rev. Chuck Kelsey officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Carolyn A. Ringgenberg was born April 24, 1941, in Colo to Raymond and LaVon (Hellyer) Dunshee. She was a graduate of Colo High School. She married Carroll Ringgenberg Oct. 22, 1960, in Colo. She had been assistant to the president of the Iowa State University Alumni Association.

She is survived by two sons, Jason Ringgenberg and Curtis Ringgenberg, both of Overland Park; four brothers: Bill Dunshee, of Collins, Bob Dunshee, of Zionsville, Ind., Barry Dunshee, of Manning,and Dave Dunshee, of Henry, Ill.; two sisters, Waneva Hartley, of Nevada, and Denise Conrad, of Colo; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 1, 1993, and her parents.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Adams Funeral Home in Ames.
