Paul Peterson, 84, of Ames, died Saturday, June 10, at Riverside Manor in Ames. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Adams Funeral Home.

Paul Peterson was born Jan. 24, 1922, in Linn Grove, the son of Peter John Peterson and Ethel (McKenna) Peterson. He married Dorothy Marie Yorgensen May 3, 1947. He finished high school and one year of college and later served in the military. He was a parts manager for Wilson Olds Cadillac. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling.

He is survived by one sister, Geraldine Peterson of Linn Grove; two sons, John Peterson of Slater and James (Linda) Peterson of Gilbert; two daughters, Carole (Dell) Addis of Missoula, Mont., and Lori (John) Berg of Ames; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; one brother; one great-grandson; and his wife, Dorothy.
