Dallas County News, January 1994, Adel, Iowa. “MINBURN – A memorial service for Erma Katherine Moss, 83, of Perry will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17. 1994, at the Perry Lutheran Home Chapel at Perry. Mrs. Moss died of complications of a stroke at Perry Lutheran Home on Jan. 4. A funeral service was held Jan. 8 at the Minburn United Methodist Church, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, also at Minburn directed by Hastings Funeral Home of Perry. The daughter of Charles E. and Minnie Marie Langhoff Huggins, she was born at Bloomington, Ill. On Feb. 21, 1910. She married William Wesley Moss on Dec. 23, 1929. She lived most of her life in Minburn and was a member of the Minburn United Methodist Church and the Silver and Gold Senior Citizen Club. She was a former member of the Royal Neighbors Club. She had served as a foster parent and a foster grandparent. Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband; by an infant son; and by four brothers, Glen Huggins, Lou Huggins, Rusty Huggins and Let Huggins. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Moss of Minburn and Larry Ballentine of Newton; four daughters, Virginia Hurd of Minburn, Mary Lou Noonan of Patterson, Betty Grief of Granger and Shirley Houston of Ernest; a brother, Milton (Bud) Huggins
