Dallas County News, October 6, 1988, Page 10, under heading of Around the County, column 3. “Lester Huggins – Dallas Center – A funeral for Lester Huggins, 74, of Minburn was held Oct. 4, 1988 at Brandt Funeral Home here. Mr. Huggins died of a heart ailment on Oct. 1 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery at Minburn. Mr. Huggins was born in Dallas Center and had lived in Minburn for more than 40 years. He was retired from the Masonic Home in Perry, and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in August 1987. Survivors include a son, Robert Huggins of Perry; a sister, Erma Moss of Minburn; and a brother, Milton Huggins of Adel.”
