Norman G. Post, 79, of Nevada passed away Dec. 2. Services are pending.

THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, December 4, 2005.

Norman G. Post, 79, passed away Friday, Dec. 2. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Nevada. A fellowship luncheon will follow at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

Norman was born on July 11, 1926, in Cero Gordo County to Clarence N. and Dora May (Stahlman) Post. He moved to Story County with his family in 1927 where he lived the rest of his life. He married Betty Luing in 1947. He worked as a mechanic most of his life, and was the owner and operator of Post Auto Repair from 1977 to 1988. After the death of his first wife in 1979, Norman remarried Shirley Wierson in 1981.

He is survived by his wife Shirley; one sister Thelma Erickson of Nevada; three sons Dennis of Anacortes, Wash., Mike (Jill) of Nevada, Iowa, and Kelly of Chandler, Ariz.; three step-children Nancy Martin of Des Moines, Keith Wierson of Ames, and Doug Wierson of Maxwell; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and four brothers.
