THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, December 2, 2005.

Gordon "Gordy" M. Fisher of Des Moines died peacefully surrounded by family Friday, Nov. 25. A memorial gathering will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at 1131 Wolcott in Des Moines.

Gordy retired from Sunstrand/Sauer-Danfoss in inventory control. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, antiques and travel.

He will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Judy; three sons, Scott (Melanie), Kerry (Kyla) and Daniel; one daughter, Kelly Fisher; six grandchildren, Britney, Shawn, Katie, Jade, Shanna and Sierra; one foster son, Carl Mann; one aunt, Maxine Seaton; one sister, Sharon Fitz; and a good friend, Sam Hermawan.
