Frank L. Thompson Dies on Friday In Los Angeles
Frank L. Thompson, 76, native son of Nevada, but for the past 35 years a resident of Los Angeles, Cal., died Friday morning in that city, according to a message received by his sister, Mrs. F. G. Dunahugh of Nevada.
Mr. Thompson who was for many years cashier of the Citizen's National bank of Los Angeles, had recently retired from that position because of failing health.
Previous to leaving Nevada for California he had for years been connected with the old First National bank of Nevada, following a long period during which he had been bookkeeper in the office of the then Boardman Bros. produce packers.
Mr. Thompson was born in Nevada, a son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Thompson. He was married to Miss Carrie Payne* of Nevada, after graduating from Nevada high school with thee class of 1884.
He leaves in his immediate family his wife and one son, the latter being Donald Thompson, the younger son born to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson. The elder son, Harbaugh, died many years ago while in the U. S. Army service.
He also leaves four sisters, they being Miss Kate Thompson and Mrs. Sylvia Klove of Los Angeles; Mrs. Cora Boydston of Lakeworth, Fla., and Mrs. Olive Dunahugh of Nevada.
Definite arrangements as to the funeral and interment have not been received here, but both ill be in Los Angeles, where the parents and the one son are buried.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Carrie Payne was actually Carrie Belle Harbaugh, daughter of Calvin Harbaugh and Mary Elisabeth Baker. Her mother, Mary Baker, married three times, her second husband being George W. Payne whom she married in 1876.
