Mrs. J. T. Walker Mourns Death of Mother Today
Mrs. Millie Ann Bennett, 78, died at 8:30 a. m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John T. Walker, at 919 Tenth street, after an illness dating back as far as May.
Mrs. Bennett had for the past nine years made her home with the daughter in Nevada and had made many friends, being a member of the Daughters of Union Civil War Veterans and other organizations.
Born at Columbia, in Marion county, Iowa, she is survived by her daughter, Cordia, now Mrs. J. T. Walker of Nevada, with whom she had made her home; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Lancaster of Flats, Nebr., a son of Otto Bennett of Ridgeway, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Claude Lindstrom of Chico, Calif., and Mrs. Julia Phelps of Custer City, S. D.
The son and daughter are expected here this evening, after which definite funeral and burial arrangements will be made.
In the meantime, the body of Mrs. Bennett is at the Lilly Funeral home.
