Thomas Osborn, County Pioneer, Dies Last Evening

Thomas C. Osborn, old time resident of Story county, passed away at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames Wednesday evening after suffering a stroke of paralysis last Thursday morning at his farm home north of Ames.

Mr. Osborn was 84 years old and lived practically all of his life in Story county. He was married to Martha Dye Dec. 9, 1881. She passed away Dec. 23, 1936.

He leaves to mourn his loss G. L. Osborn of Ames, Mrs. Grace King, Vancouver, B. C., and Mrs. Pearl Campbell of Nevada; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
