Early Day Nevada Woman Buried at Burlington, Kansas
Mrs. A. B. Moore, who died recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. B. Morrow at Lincoln, Ill., was a daughter of a pioneer Nevada family. She was born Rebecca Gertrude Dye, daughter of Samuel Harvey and Melissa (Hauge) Dye, in Nevada Sept. 15, 1855.
Educated in the Nevada schools, she taught in the local schools of Story, Marshall and Cherokee counties.
She was married at Aurelia, Ia., Aug. 29, 1889 to A. B. Moore and they soon located at Coffeyville, Kans. She is survived by her husband, daughters Mrs. Morrow of Lincoln, Ill., and Mrs. George Spann of Kansas City, Mo., and a son Henry Moore of Wichita, Kans. Burial was at their former home at Burlington, Kans.
