DEATH AND BURIAL OF LENA OLSON

Well Known Former Story City Lady Laid to Rest at Fergus Falls, Minn.

Miss Lena Olson, who has made her home with her sister, the late Mrs. A. G. Anderson and her brother, E. M. Olson, in Fergus Falls, Minn., for the past 19 years died Thursday morning, Aug. 29 at St. Luke's hospital. She was 77 year of age, and had been poorly since she fractured her hip in a fall five weeks before.

Miss 0lson was born at Leland, Ill., August 27, 1863, the daughter of Marcellus and Ingeborg Olson. At the age of three years she moved with her parents to Roland, and spent the greater part of her life at Roland and Story City.

She is survived by one brother, E. M. Olson of Fergus Falls, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Dale of Minneapolis, besides a number of other relatives.

Funeral at Fergus Falls

The funeral services were held in the Benson funeral chapel on Saturday, Aug. 31. The services were conducted by Rev. C. E. Hansen of Alexandria, assisted by Rev. H. Hagen and Rev. Carroll Hinderlie of Minneapolis.

Relatives from out of town were Mrs. Julia Dale, a sister, of Minneapolis; A. G. Anderson, a brother-in-law of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Dale of McIntosh, Minn.; Mrs. Christine Hinderlie of Minneapolis; Mrs. J. N. Nesse and James of Thief River Falls; Mrs. C. E. Hansen of Alexandria and Rev. Carroll Hinderlie of Minneapolis.

Marion Hansen, grand niece, sang, I Know of a Sleep in Jesus' Name," "Jesus Saviour, Pilot Me," and "Beautiful Saviour." In conclusion Rev. Hansen sang "Den store hvide flok.: He also sang one of Miss Olson's favorite gospel hymns, "Her mas jeg banke bede."

The out of town relatives were invited by Miss Olson's nephew and niece, Meriam Anderson and Mrs. Geo. Knoff, to their home where a delicious lunch was served.

Pallbearers were Ben Lien, Henry Dahl, Olaf Schel, Geo. Knoff, Dr. H. C. Hekmer and Rev. Carroll Hinderlie.
