Otis Gaard, the seven-year-old son of Mrs. Guerina Gaard, died at an early hour last Friday morning of typhoid fever. Little Otis had been sick about three weeks when death came and relieved him from his suffering. Funeral services were held at three o'clock, Saturday afternoon, in the Lutheran church conducted by Rev. Tanner, the remains afterward being laid to rest in the Story City cemetery.
