Former Local Girl Died in Minnesota

The following news appeared in the Red Wing, Minn., Republican two weeks ago and has reference to the somewhat sudden death of a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Henryson, former residents of Story City.

Mrs. Ruth Henryson Christenson, age 33, resident of Red Wing since 1935, passed away suddenly at a local hospital this morning from complications following the birth of a son Feb. 23. Her death occurred at 7:30 a.m. today.

Born on July 28, 1903 in Story City, Iowa. Mrs. Christenson resided there until in 1913 when with her parents she moved to Minneapolis, which remained her home until 1927 when she was married on Oct. 29 to Elmer John Christenson, who since June, 1935, has been engaged as associate engineer at the government dam here.

Mrs. Christenson, altho only residing here for a little more than a year, made many friends and was an active member of the United Lutheran church. She was also active in the ladies' aid society.

Surviving, besides her husband, are three children, all sons, Phillip John, age 5; Paul Henry, age 3, and her infant son, Peter Christen. Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Henryson of Clarissa, Minn.; two sisters, Viola of Oak Park, Ill., and Mrs. Helen Kraabel of Clarissa, and two brothers, Arnold T. of Los Angeles, Cal. and Clarence J. of Billings, Mont.
