FRED BARLISH
Fred Barlish of 1827 E. 68th St., Los Angeles, Calif., passed away suddenly with a heart attack on January 25, 1937. The funeral services were conducted on the following Thursday at 2 o'clock p. m. in the Little Funeral church of E. W. Holman & Sons, 1724 E. Florence avenue.
Rev. Wendall Miller of University Methodist church officiated. Mrs. Yvette Barber and daughter, Bernice, furnished to music.
Fred Barlish was born in Cannon, Mo., Nov. 4, 1879, and was 57 years old at the time of his death. He was married to Tena Schultz of Story City on June 5, 1912. To this union was born two children, Fay Marie and Charles Henry, who, with their mother, survive him.
Mr. Barlish was a quiet man with a home-loving Christian character and was loved by all who knew him, which was evident by the large number of friends and fellow employees, who attended the funeral services. He had resided in California for 40 years and in Los Angeles for the past 24 of them. After working for the county road department for 19 years, he retired in 1933. Former fellow employees and associates acted as pall bearers.
