MRS. OLE WICKS

Funeral services for Mrs. Ole A. Wicks, 79, who passed away February 27, following an illness of several months, was held Tuesday afternoon of last week at Bergen church in Roland.

Six of her grandson, who acted as pallbearers were Allis Wicks, Harris, Leonrd, Leslie, and Virgil Twedt of Roland, and LeRoy Wicks of Kanawha.

Special music consisted of a solo by Harris Twedt and Otto J. Hanson.

Burial was made in the Roland cemetery by the side of her husband, who passed away four months ago.

Mrs. Wicks was a native of Skaanevik, Norway, where she was united in marriage to Ole A. Wicks in the fall of 1885. Seven years later they came to America and settled in Roland, and lived in this community until the time of her death.

She is survived by three children, Torger Wicks of Kanawha, Lars and Alice of Roland. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Theodore Carpenter of Story City and three brothers, Tom Wicks of Story City, George Wicks of Elmore, Minn., and Thomas Wicks of Kanawha.

Relatives from a distance who were here for the funeral were Torge Wicks and son, LeRoy of Kanawha, Tom Wicks of Kanawha and Andrew Mathre of Humboldt.
