OBITUARIES
MRS. CHAS. DINSMORE
Ethel Leona Canady was born September 10, 1889 at Zenorsville, Iowa. At the age of 12 she moved with her parents to Gilbert, Ia., where she was united in marriage on June 28, 1911, to Charles Dinsmore.
They established their home at Gilbert. About two years later they moved to Ontario, where they remained for about three years. In May of 1918 they moved to Nora Springs where they have since made their home.
Early in life, Mrs. Dinsmore was baptized and united with the Congregational church. On coming to Nora Springs her membership was transferred to the Methodist Episcopal church.
During her life her consecration and keen sense of loyalty found expression in deeds of loving service. Family and friends can jointly testify of her beautiful service. She might well have said, in the words of her Master, "I am among you as one that serveth."
After a lingering illness, she passed on into the church triumphant at her home early Saturday morning, Feb. 20, 1937.
She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Dorothy Ruth and Marian Charlene, at home; five brothers; C. M. Canady of Ambridge, Pa., Wm. M. Canady of Jefferson, Iowa, L. J. Canady of Ames, A. A. Canady of Pittsburg, Pa., and Charles E. Canady of Story City, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Black of Dawson, Iowa, Mrs. Lillian Reynolds, LeMars.
The funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church Tuesday, February 23 at 2:30 p. m. The Rev. J. E. DeLong, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church Greene, a former pastor of the Nora Springs church, gave the sermon.
Interment was in Parks cemetery at Nora Springs.
