Death of Chas. Gilmore in California

Charles T. Gilmore, 55, native son of Milford township, died at his home in California two weeks ago and the body was laid to rest in the mausoleum of Forest Lawn Memorial park, immediately following services at Wee Kirk of the Heather at Forest Lawn, Los Angeles, Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Mr. Gilmore was a son of the late William J. and Jerusha Norton-Gilmore, and was born on a farm northeast of Ames in Milford township April 9, 1880.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Sowers Gilmore; daughters Pauline, wife of Charold S. Ahl of Rawlins, Wyo.; and Evelyn Gilmore of Los Angeles; four brothers and three sisters.

The Gilmore family was among thee early settlers in the community southeast of Story City; William J. being of the second generation and the subject of this sketch of the third generation.
