Hold Final Services For Mrs. Fred Nickens

Funeral services were held in Des Moines and interment in McCallsburg for Mrs. Fred G. Nickens, who passed away May 31 at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines at the age of 56 years.

Ellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jensen, was born Feb. 22, 1894, in McCallsburg. She was raised in and near McCallsburg and later move to Thompson, Iowa.

She went to Des Moines 33 years ago and was married to Fred G. Nickens on Oct. 14, 1922.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church in Des Moines.

Surviving are her husband, Fred; one son, Fred Jr.; one daughter, Arlene, a sister, Mrs. William Olson of Mason City, two brothers, Otis Jensen of Brownsdale, Minn., and Eddie Jensen of Thompson, a half-sister, Jenora Jensen of Mason City, and a half-brother, Lawrence Jensen of Fulda, Minn.
