MRS. OLE KNUDSON DIED AT OLD PEOPLE'S HOME

Mr. Ole Knudson, 73, died at the local old people's home Friday evening, after having failed in health for some time.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Heimarck, first in the old people's home chapel and then in the Immanuel church. Burial was in Fairview cemetery. The following were the pall bearers: Ed Charlson, Ed Peterson, A. J. Henryson, H. T. Hauge, B. T. Holm and Eric Alsager.

Sarah Halverson was born on April 15, 1858, near St. Joseph, Mo. The following year she moved with her mother to Eureka, Kan., where she grew to womanhood, being baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. In 1884 she was united in marriage to Ole Knudson in Eureka. To this union two children were born, both of whom preceded her in death.

In 1927 both Mr. and Mrs. Knudson entered the Story City Sunset Home and have resided here since then.

Mrs. Knudson was of a quiet and pleasing disposition. For a year she had been confined to her bed, lovingly cared for by her husband who gave her every attention possible. A week before her death it was evident that the end was near, and she was content to go to the better land, as she firmly believed.
