YOUNG CHILD DIED OF PNEUMONIA

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans O. Hanson Passed Away Christmas Day Night

Hazel Virginia, six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans O. Hanson, died at ten o'clock last Thursday night at their home southwest of Story City. She had contracted scarlet fever, from which she had apparently recovered when pneumonia set in.

Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Fuller and participated in by many of the neighbors and friends. Interment was made in the Gilbert cemetery.

Hazel Virginia Hanson was born Feb. 12, 1925, and died Dec. 25, 1930. She was the child of Hans and Hazel Hanson. She was baptized on April 24, 1928, under the pastorate of Rev. Orth. She leaves to mourn her loss her parents, one sister, Edith, two brothers, Clinton and Clifford, a grandfather, grandmother and many other relatives.

Hazel Virginia was a very dear little child, unselfish, kind and thoughtful of others. To know her as a little child was to love her. But the loving Christ found it best to take the little one home to be with Him, and, while her loss will be felt deeply by her loved ones, it is certain that He who said, "Suffer little children to come unto me," has received her unto himsself.

Little sister, you have left us,
Left us here at home alone;
Now your little place is empty,
And our hearts are like a stone.
But you've gone to be with Jesus,
Be among His flowers fair;
You will wait for us dear sister,
For we hope to meet you there,
Yes, we hope again to meet you
When the space of years have gone,
For a little child shall lead us,
Lead us on, and on, and on.
