MRS. J. W. O'BRYANT PASSED AWAY SUNDAY
Mrs. Narsis Thomas O'Bryant was born in Monroe county, Kentucky, on July 4th, 1862 and grew to young womanhood in that community. In December, 1888, she with her young daughter and father moved to Berlin, Ill.
April 30, 1894, she was united in marriage to Mr. J. W. O'Bryant. Her mother love was divided by this union between her own daughter and the four young children of Mr. O'Bryant's. Her unfaltering and self-sacrificing spirit held true and these homes soon made one, had a loving sympathetic mother to guide and direct these children through the trying paths of youth.
To this union was born three daughters, Mary and Narsis and Serene, who have passed on before.
In 1915 with her husband and family she moved to Gilbert, and has since made this her home.
The husband passed away in November, 1927.
She leaves to mourn the loss of mother, two daughters, Mrs. W. E. knouse of Gilbert, and Mrs. Mary Catlett of Ames, and four step-children, W. A. O'Bryant of Fort Dodge, James W. and Lee O'Bryant of Gilbert. and Mrs. Roy Hougham of Peoria, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Riddle of Ipswich, S. D.; one brother, W. A. Thomas of Little Rock, Ark., besides grandchildren and a host of friends.
