OBITUARY OF MRS. ERICKSON

Mrs. Georgina Erickson was born in Flekkefjord, Norway, Nov. 22, 1834, and was at the time of her death 95 years, 4 months and 13 days. She departed from this life April 13, 1930. She had been blind nearly four years, and bedfast also, but her mind was clear until the very last. Her daughter, Mrs. Nichols, stayed at home and took care of her until the last.

Mrs. Erickson was a daughter of Tollak and Siri Egeland. Egeland was the name of the farm on which she was born, and what in Norway is called Odelsgaard, having been handed down from father to son for many generations, and thus Mrs. Erickson's father was the last of the class to possess it, he having died in 1880. He was also an old war veteran.

Mrs. Erickson came with her family to the United States in 1886, coming from Stavanger, Norway, at which place she had lived since her marriage to Halvor Erickson, who preceded her in death 22 years ago.

She was of a quiet and home loving disposition, and always believed in the Golden Rule, and she practiced it as nearly as she could to her ability. She wanted us to greet everyone who knew her, and she said to tell you all that she hoped to meet you in heaven.

She leaves to mourn her departure three children, namely, Minnie Nichols, at home, Mrs. Chris Halverson of Roland, and Herman of Ames.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon His love had given,
And though the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in heaven.

Card of Thanks

We wish to thank our friends, neighbors and relatives for their kindness and sympathy during the illness and death of our beloved mother; also thanks to those kind neighbors and friends who took part in the funeral service. Thank you all.
Her Children.
