OBITUARY

Mrs. Carrie Jacobson Sonno

Mrs. Carrie Jacobson Sonno was born in Olen, Norway the 6th day of January, 1842. She came to America and first came to Grundy County, Illinois. In 1870 she was united in marriage to Ole Jacobson Sonno, who was a widower with six children, three boys and three girls. She with her husband and family moved to Iowa in 1874 and settled on a farm eight miles northwest of Story City, Iowa. To this union eight children were born, two of whom died in infancy. She leaves one sister and six children, three step children, 19 grandchildren and 38 stepgrandchildren, who mourn the loss of a good and loving mother and grandmother. Her sister and children were all present at her bedside. Her husband died on the 11th day of January, 1899.

The children's name are P. S. Jacobson, who resides at home; Mrs. Ole Boe of Stanhope; Henry Albert and Mrs. Edward Frette of near Rosendale; Carl of Walter, Minn. Her step children's names are Mrs. A. Anfinson, late of Ellsworth; Mr. J. Jacobson, late of Story City; Mr. J. Sunnoe, Stanhope and Mrs. D. S. Beckley of Nevada. Peace to her and blessed be her memory.
