OBITUARY
Mrs. Murvin Boyd
Sarah Juliette Johnson Boyd was born March 23, 1894, near Morris, Ill. She came with her parents to Randall in 1905 and was confirmed in the Randall church, October 11, 1908. On June 5, 1913, she was united in marriage to Murvin Boyd, and to this union one child was born, Curtis June.
She died at Ceylon, Minn., June 27, 1919. Besides her husband and child she leaves to mourn her death , her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Matt Olson and Myrtle and three brothers, Clarence, Herbert and Milford.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Paulsrud at the Randall church, Monday. The pastor spoke on "she is not dead but sleepeth." The Jerdeman trio sang "We'll never say goodbye in Heaven."
Mrs. Boyd had enjoyed the best of health until last fall. In January she contracted the Influenza, her condition rapidly growing worse. She was a patient sufferer, and bore her affliction without complaint. Those who were her intimate friends remember her as a kind, quiet and industrious woman. She was mild in manner and always prudent and charitable in speech. When God in His wisdom saw the appointed time to call her home, she was willing and happy to go.
The body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Story City. The pallbearers were Martin Hoveland, Albert Olson, Orville Owenson, Sherman Wicks, Willie Carpenter, and Porter Borwick, most of them being her classmates.
