Obituary.

Flora Fisk was born in Lee County, Illinois, Jan. 25, 1874. She moved with her parents to Story County, Iowa, in July 1876. At the early age of seventeen she was converted and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church of Gilbert. She was united in marriage to Orlin L. Gilbert at Curlew, Iowa, Sept. 5, 1895.

In 1897 she united with the Congregational Church at Gilbert. They made their home here until 1905, when they moved to Kamrar. Mrs. Gilbert had been in poor health for several years and on this account they made several changes in location. In July of this year they moved to Roswell, Idaho, where she died Nov. 9 of edema of the lungs. At the time of her death she was a member of the Methodist Church at Kamrar. She leaves behind, to mourn her loss, a loving husband, two little sons, Leslie aged 11, Grover aged 8.

She was the seventh child of a family of ten children. The father died Nov. 20, 1908. Of the family the mother Mrs. Mary E. Fisk of Curlew, Ia., three sisters and two brothers remain, -- Mrs. Oren Lake and Mrs. Virgil Rainbolt of Gilbert, Mrs. Edith Brannen of Steele, North Dakota, Earl Fisk of Curlew, Ia., and Sam Fisk of Spencer, Ia. All the family except Mrs. Brannen were here for the funeral.

In response to the message that her daughter was not expected to live, Mrs. Fisk left last Monday for Idaho; she reached Denver, where she received the message that Flora had passed away and for her to meet Orlin and his boys at Cheyenne to return with them to Iowa.

The funeral was held from the Gilbert Congregational church Nov. 14, conducted by our pastor Rev. Wolfe. The church was packed with old neighbours and friends wishing to pay their last tribute of respect to Mrs. Gilbert.

The floral tributes were most beautiful coming from loving friends at Roswell, Idaho, and Kamrar, Iowa, also from relatives here.

Mr. Gilbert has the most sincere sympathy of the entire community that have know him from boyhood.

Those in attendance at the funeral from out of town were, Miss Fannie Gilbert, Wagoner, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Strever, Webster City, Mrs. Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Semmons of Kamrar, and Miss Dena De Grott of Hubbard, Iowa.
