MRS. JACOBSON LAID TO REST

Remains Brought From Nevada and Interred in Story City

Mrs. Andrew Jacobson, who died at the Nevada sanitarium last Wednesday morning, was buried here on Friday. The funeral was conducted in the St. Petri church and was one of the most largely attended ever held in Story City. The floral offerings were unusually beautiful.

OBITUARY.

The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Olson, who live south of Story City, and was born in Kvinhered, Norway, Europe, Jan. 12, 1834, and died at Nevada, Sept. 14, 1910, aged 55 years, 8 months and 2 days. She was married to Andrew Jacobson at Calamus, Ia., Oct. 6, 1871. To this union six children were born, five of whom, with the husband survive the mother. The surviving are: Mrs. Nels Donhowe, of Minnesota, Mrs. Arthur Harmon, of Hampton, and Olive, Albert and Henry, all of Story City. One son, Jacob Jacobson is deceased. The family had lived in Story county since 1874, all of the time at or near Story City. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Olson, brothers, Ole, Abe and Chris Olson, sisters, Mrs. J. O. Jacobson, Mrs. B. Ludvigson, Ormsby, Minn., and Mrs. Bertha Thompson and Mrs. Soren Anderson, of near this place.

Mrs. Jacobson had been ill for some time, suffering from diabetes, which later developed into abdominal hernia and she was taken to Nevada for treatment, but too late, and she passed away a few hours after reaching the sanitarium.

Mrs. Jacobson was one of those home-loving, hard-working women to whom this country owed so much in its pioneer days. Though she had suffered more or less from an internal disorder for many years, yet she never complained. Her presence in the family circle will be sadly missed by her loved ones, who have the sympathy of the community in their great sorrow.
