OBITUARY
ELMER PAUL KNIVSLAND

Elmer Paul Knivsland was born in Hamilton county, Iowa, Nov. 28, 1889, and died at their home in Story City August 10, 1910, being thus a little less than 21 years old when he was cut down by the grim reaper, Death. He had been in good health all his life until about a year ago, when he had an attack of pleurisy. He went to the state of Washington the fore part of this year in the hope of benefitting his health, but rapidly grew worse instead of better, and came home five weeks ago with little hope of recovery. As the end approached he was reconciled to his fate, even looking forward with joy to his release from the bonds of life.

Besides his parents he leaves two brothers and three sisters to mourn his death, namely, Henry Knivsland, of Everett, Wash., Mrs. C. E. Sheriff of Othello, Wash., Mrs. D. B. Olson, Mrs. C. J. Lacker and Ben Knivsland of this place.

The funeral services were held Saturday and the remains interred in the Story City cemetery, there to await the resurrection morn, when those who now feel the parting so keenly shall be reunited to part no more.
