AGED LADY GOES TO HER REWARD

Mrs. Nicholas Thompson Passes Away at Ripe Old Age.

Mrs. Nicholas Thompson died at her home in the north part of town last Monday, after a brief illness with pneumonia. She was 76 years old, having been born in Norway in 1834. With her husband she came to America about 40 years ago, living on a farm five miles northeast of Story City until ten or twelve years ago, when they moved to town. Just before Christmas last year she fell on a slippery walk and broke her hip, from which she never recovered.

Besides the aged husband, two daughters and two step-daughters are left to mourn her death. The daughters are Mrs. E. D. Sunley of Ottumwa and Mrs. F. E. McDivitt of St. Joseph, Mo., and the step-daughters are Mrs. A. H. Stark of Maxwell and Mrs. Ole Sandness of Seattle, Wash.

The funeral services were held to-day in the Immanuel church, Rev. Heimarck officiating.
