CHARLES F. SCHULTZ
Word was received last week that Charles F. Schultz had died at Fredalba, Cal., on Friday, Oct. 25, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mollie Thomas, with whom he had been living for several years. The funeral was held the following Sunday and the remains buried in Woodland cemetery, Inglewood, Cal.
The deceased was one of the very earliest settlers in this part of Story county. For many years he lived on his farm south of Story City. His wife died about twelve years ago and a year later Mr. Schultz sold his farm and has spent most of his farm and has spent most of the time since in California. Three daughters survive him: Mrs. Mollie Thomas and Mrs. Tena Barlish, who reside in California, and Mrs. Thos. Knutson*.
He was 78 years old at the time of his death, and had been in failing health for some time. He was so low during the summer that it was thought he would die and Mrs. Knutson went out there to see him.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Louise Sophia Schultz married Tomas L. "Tom" Knudson. The above obit give her name as Mrs. Thomas Knutson however their gravestones give their last name as Knudson, not Knutson. The deceased, Charles F. Schultz, is buried in Inglewood, California as stated but his gravestone is inscribed as Charles F. Shultz.
