MRS. CHARLSON DIED LAST FRIDAY
Mrs. Julia Charlson died at her home southwest of Story City last Friday evening, after an illness extending over the better part of two years. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, first at the home and then in the Bethel church, of which she was a member. Rev. Paulsrud conducted the services, being assisted by Rev. Heimarck and Rev. Solum, and the remains were interred in the Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Charlson was 64 years and two months old. She was born in Norway and came to this country when she was about twenty years old. Her husband Jacob Charlson, preceded her to the better land twelve years ago.
She leaves two sons and three daughters to mourn the death and keep warm the memory of a kind and affectionate mother, namely, John Charlson of Carpio, N. D.; Ingebrit Charlson of this place; Mrs. Martin Anderson of Mackey; Mrs. John Lee and Lena Charlson of this place. Her mother, also survives her, being Mrs. Ingebrit Ingebritson*, who is past ninety years old. Two brothers and three sisters are also living, namely, Knute Ingebritsen of Des Moines; Nels Ingebritsen of Nebraska; Mrs. Tom Lein of Estherville; Mrs. T. W. Rask of Madrid and Mrs. George Larson of this place. All of the above named relatives were present at the funeral, except Nels Ingebritsen, who was unable to get here from his home in Nebraska.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The mother of Julia (Ingebritson) Charlson was Birgit Knutsdatter “Bergette” (Arnegard) Engebretsen, who died at the age of 93 in 1915. She was married to Engebret Engbretsen.
