OBITUARY

Mrs. John Clemens

Eleanor McClement was born in Belfast, Ireland, July 11, 1836 and died at Zenorsville, Dec. 15, 1914, aged 78 years, 5 months and 4 days.

She was united in marriage to John Clemens, Feb. 22nd, 1867, coming to America the same year. They first settled at Ontario, residing there about 4 years. They then moved to Zenorsville, at which place she lived until God called her home.

She was converted when a mere child, uniting with the M. E. church at the age of 15, of which she was a member at the time of her death.

Mother Clemens was always a good, kind, loving wife and mother. She was a kind friend and a good neighbor in the broadest sense of the word to which her many friends and neighbors will testify.

She is survived by two sons J. W. F. and H. H. and one daughter Mrs. E. H. Paxton.

Her husband and eldest son J. W. have preceded her in death.

Rest Mother rest,
Thy trials are o'er,
Take now thy rest,
So oft needed before,
We loved thee will,
But God loved thee more,
Soon will we meet.
On that bright and happy shore.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wendel in the Zenorsville church Thursday forenoon; and the remains were interred in the Ontario cemetery.
