Death of J. P. Zenor
John P. Zenor died at his home in Gilbert Friday morning, Dec. 11, at 9:30. Funeral services was held at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Wilson officiating. Interment in the cemetery east of town.
John P. Zenor was born in Indiana Aug. 26, 1841 He moved with his parents to Zenorsville, in 1851 and was married to Miss Mattie Lee in 1863. To this union was born three sons and one daughter--Chas., Howard, Clifford and Alice. Howard and Alice survive him. Later he was married to Miss Irene Gasaway July 23, 1885. To this union was born two sons, Robert and Fred. Robert passed away when nine years old. Mr. Zenor has lived near Gilbert nearly all his life and was prominent in the mercantile business. He leaves a wife, two sons and one daughter to mourn their loss. A short time before his death he made confession of his faith in Jesus.
