OLE SANDVIG DIED MONDAY
Ole Sandvig died at his home north of town at seven o'clock Monday morning. He had been suffering for some time with cancer, and for a few weeks before his death all hope for his recovery had been given up.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Paulsrud in the Bethel church, of which the deceased had so long been a faithful member.
Ole Sandvig was born in Norway, Jan. 29, 1841, being thus 74 years and 5 months old at the time of his death. His wife and five children survive him, the latter being Oscar, Charlie, Olaf A., Mrs. Carrie Erickson of Sheldahl and Mrs. Bertha Anderson. The Sandvig family have made Story City their home for upwards of thirty years, Mr. Sandvig having worked at the blacksmith trade here before moving to his present home home north of town. He will be greatly missed not only by his sorrowing family but by a large number of friends.
