MATT OSTEM DIED IN GILBERT MONDAY

Funeral of Well Known Man Is Being Held Today

Matt Ostrem, 45, died at his home in Gilbert Monday evening about 10 o'clock of heart disease. He had been in poor health for about a year and a half.

Mr. Ostrem was born at Thor, Iowa, January 25, 1885. In 1907 he was married to Martha Peterson and came to a farm near Gilbert. Three children were born to this union. They are Howard of Hardy, LaVerne of Gilbert and Mrs. Ray Watts of Gilbert. Mrs. Ostrem died June 4, 1915.

In October, 1923 Mr. Ostrem was married to Julia Severeid of Story City. Three sons were born, Robert, Richard and Curtis.

One brother and four sisters also survive. They are: J. M. Ostrem of Adams, Minn.; Mrs. J. Hansel of Hardy; Mrs. S. S. Askelson of Gilbert; Mrs. O. Adams of Steele, N. D.; and Mrs. M. S. Walker of Centuria, Wis.
