MRS. CHRIST HALL PASSED AWAY

Death Comes After a Week of Suffering From Peritonitis. Funeral Very Largely Attended Last Monday From Bergen Church

Mrs. Christ Hall, who was taken ill with peritonitis two weeks ago, died at the hospital in Story City last Friday morning. An operation had been performed on Monday morning but the attending physicians held out very little hope that she would be able to survive.

Julia Hereim was born southwest of Roland, February 15, 1875 and shortly afterwards moved with her parents to a farm five miles south of Roland, where she grew to womanhood. On December 16, 1897, she was united in marriage to Mr. Christ Hall, to which union six children were born, one of which died in infancy. those who mourn the loss of their mother are, Jesse Hall, Mrs. Henry Borwick, Ella, Agnes and Clarence, all of Roland. She also leaves to mourn her death, her aged brother, T. A. Hereim, of Belmond, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hall had been in her usual health until two weeks ago when she was taken sick and as she continued to grow worse, she was taken to the hospital and an operation was performed, but it was discovered that her condition was so serious that nothing that medical skill and care could do, would avail, and she passed away shortly after four o'clock on Friday morning, March 28, 1924, at the age of 49 years, 1 month and 18 days.

Funeral services were held at twelve o'clock last Monday from the family home and at one o'clock from Bergen church, Rev. M. O. Sumstad preaching the funeral sermon. The church was filled with friends who wished to pay their last respects to the departed. Interment took place in the Roland cemetery.
