Pearl Wetteland rites Thursday
Mrs. Pearl M. Wetteland, 71, 1328 Kellogg Ave., died Monday night at Mary Greeley Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from Stevens Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Asp of the Ascension Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Born Feb. 24, 1898 near LeGrand, she married Sanford Wetteland in Marshalltown Nov. 21, 1917. They came to Ames in 1919. They belonged to the Ascension Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Sanford; four sons, Stanley of Des Moines, Tom and Jerry, both of Boone and the Rev. Mark Wetteland of Perry; two daughters, Mrs. Connie Trueblood, 703 16th St. and Mrs. Sigrid path, Rockville, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; a brother, Gene Moore, California; a half brother, Wally Dunkin, Ames; two sisters, Mrs. Wanda Spratt, Letham, N.Y. and Mrs. Edna Algyre, Newton and a half sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Fink, Newton.
The body will lie in state at Stevens Memorial Chapel Wednesday afternoon and evening.
