Funeral Services Held for Sylvia Anderson

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Sylvia Anderson on Thursday, May 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge. Pastor Tom Dettmer officiated.

The congregation sang "Dear Lord and Father of Mankind" and Marvin Vetter sang "How Great Thou Art" and "The King is Coming" accompanied by the organist Mrs. Donald Ryerson.

Pallbearers were David Anderson, Ronny Anderson, Dennis Anderson, Duane Anderson, Donald Anderson and Arnold Larson.

Interment was in Palestine Cemetery near Huxley.

Obituary

Mrs. Sylvia Marie Anderson, who passed away May 10, was born on a farm northwest of Cambridge on Oct. 17, 1884. She was the daughter of Jonas and Karen Larson. She was baptized and confirmed in Palestine Lutheran Church near Huxley.

On Feb. 27, 1908 she was united in marriage to Ed Anderson of Cambridge. They had five children.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1950, her parents, three sisters, three brothers, three half-sisters, and three half-brothers.

Survivors include five children, Mrs. Edna Terrell of Redlands, Calif., Byron and Irvin of Cambridge, Maurice of Huxley, Ray of Gilman, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ella Engen of Slater, also a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Anderson lived her entire life in the Cambridge community and was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge.
