Services Held for Elias T. Aarthun

Services for Elias Aarthun were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Riis Funeral Home here. Rev. Harry Stoutland of the Palestine Lutheran Church, near Huxley, was in charge.

Mrs. M. S. Heggen sang two solos, "The Twenty-third Psalm" and "Den Store Hide Flok."

Pallbearers were Andrew Estrem, Oley Houge, Leslie Helland, Mike Helland, Lewis Earp and Roger Engen.

Interment was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Obituary.

Elias Torgerson Aarthun, son of Torger and Martha Johanneson, was born May 5, 1881 at Skaanevik, Norway. He was confirmed in 1895 at Skaanevik.

Mr. Aarthun was employed at the J. H. Larson Lumber Co. here for a number of years.

On Mar. 9, 1926 he was united in marriage to Bertha Sandwick by Rev. T. C. Thompson of the Zion Lutheran Church at Des Moines.

For several years they lived on a farm near Maxwell, later moving to Cambridge. Three years ago they moved to Slater.

Mr. Aarthun passed away suddenly Friday night about 10:30 o'clock from a heart attack.

He is survived by his wife and several nephews.
