Rites for Former Huxley Resident

Funeral services for Fred Hullman, former Huxley resident, who passed away at 4:30 a. m. on Sept. 19 at the Story County home at Nevada, were held Thursday at 10 a. m. in the Fjeldberg church at Huxley, with Rev. O. C. Hellekson and Rev. M. Harold Rye in charge.

The prelude of familiar hymns was played by Mrs. Orland Fjelland at the organ. Rev. Hellekson led devotions, using Psalms 1:1-2 as the basis for his remarks. Mrs. E. D. Hall sang "Open My Eyes," with Mrs. Fjelland accompanist, after which Rev. Rye gave a short address, using Psalm 90 and other references. He closed his remarks with the Lord's Prayer.

Burial was in the Fjeldberg cemetery, beside his wife who passed away several years ago. Pallbearers were Dennis Ingram of Cambridge, Andrew Wenos, Sanford Heggen, Tom Erickson, Ole Fjelland and Burton Tesdall, all of Huxley.

The flowers were in charge of Mrs. Albert Johnson and Mrs. A. O. Wenos. The casket was covered with two large sprays and surrounded by several baskets and arrangements of lovely flowers.

Mr. Hullman is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Louis Carstensen of Waverly, who could not be at the funeral services.

Mr. and Mrs. Hullman were members of the Fjeldberg congregation while living in Huxley and are kindly remembered by many friends.
