The funeral of late Mrs. Svandahl who died last Saturday the 10th occurred Monday, July 12th from the Palestine church at 2 p. m. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery nearby. Mrs. Svandahl has been a sufferer for many years and died from a complication of diseases. Though married twice*, she was a widow, her last husband, Sam, preceding her into that great beyond last March. Deceased was fifty-six years old and the mother of ten children, six of whom are living.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Betsy Skjold married (1) Ole Johnson ca. 1858 and (2) Samuel Halverson Svandahl on 15 December 1881 in Story County, Iowa.
