MISS CLARA FATLAND LAID TO REST

The funeral over the remains of Miss Clara Fatland was held from the Lincoln church last Thursday afternoon, the 18th, the services being in charge of Rev. Wee. Burial was made in the local cemetery. A large crowd, completely filling the church, was in attendance, many coming from a distance and there was a very general expression of sympathy for the bereft sisters and brother who had been called upon to mourn the death of a dear one.

Deceased was born on the 18th day of January, 1887 and would have filled her 30th birthday on the day of her funeral. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fatland, passed away several years ago, the mother on Nov. 12, 1902; the father, Dec. 27, 1907. Her birthplace was east of Huxley. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Louise Carstens and Miss Esther Fatland of Taunton, Minnesota, and Miss Naomi and Master Alvin of this place. She is also mourned by a host of relatives and friends.

Friends learned to know deceased as an earnest young woman, thoroughly devoted to the children who with her had been left without any parents to guide them through life's most critical years, youth. She was always both thoughtful and considerate, guided by lessons that Christian parents had taught them in early childhood and she died the life she had lived--a Christian.
