Obituary of Little Robert Buland.

At the Palestine parsonage, Huxley, Iowa, last Sunday afternoon was held the funeral over the remains of Master Robert Buland, grandson of Rev. and Mrs. Buland, with whom he had made his home from the time -- --------- days old. Little Robert was born at Cambridge, Iowa, February 24, 1915, and was shortly afterwards adopted into the home of his grandparents and was a bright little fellow. After a short siege with the flu, which overtook him on Christmas eve, pneumonia developed and he passed away on January 3rd, leaving parents and grandparents, a brother and a sister, to follow him. "Where bright angels' feet have trod," as he wished. It was especially hard for Rev. Buland, but, as he said, "Robert has fulfilled his mission on earth. God grant that we could fill ours as well." Like Jacob of old, the pastor's life was all bound up in the lad's life, as a child of his old age. The services at the home were in charge of Rev. Bjolie, who spoke from the text: "He shall feed his flock as a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with his arm and carry them in his bosom." Is. 40, 11. Rev. Birkelo spoke briefly at the grave, where he had charge of the services. Four little boys acted as pall bearers.
