THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, August 23, 2005.

Lillian Korowitz, 81, of Ames and formerly of Sharon, Mass., and New York City, died Monday, Aug. 15, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Lillian devoted her life to loving and caring for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack Korowitz of Ames; one sister, Jean Edelman of New York City; one son, Simon Korowitz of Sharon; one daughter, Carol Jacobson of Ames; and four grandchildren, Laurie Korowitz-Coutu, Jodi Mirabile, and Mark and David Jacobson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidore and Rose Herman; and one sister Helen Isaacson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
